This documentary follows Medine, Wolf and Lars, three youngsters who, in their own ways, take action against the climate crisis. During a think tank, they meet like-minded peers and form an unexpected alliance with ‘Climate General’ (former Commander of the Dutch Armed Forces) Tom Middendorp. He encourages them to turn their talents into real impact. And so they do. What starts at their parents’ kitchen tables grows into real projects, leading to meetings with spiritual leaders and politicians. The film tells a tale of courage and the power of young voices.

This film is an initiative of the Think Now Foundation, which advocates for climate education to be incorporated into the curriculum on a broad scale.
In September 2025, The Climate General and The Students had it’s world premiere at the Tuschinski Theatre in Amsterdam. Then, the documentary went on a tour of various theaters across The Netherlands.
